Katyn Memorial May 10th
On Sunday a group from the Polish Ex-Servicemen's Associaion in Kidderminster went to the Annual Katyn Commemoration at the Katyn Memorial on Cannock Chase.
Speaking at this commemoration, and then laying a wreath as Consul, is one of the most emotional events I attend every year.
We must never forget the thousands of Polish Officers and intellectuals murdered by the Russians in the forests near Smolensk. Neither must we ever forget the "cover-up" perpetrated by the British Government who, despite knowing the truth, went along with the Russian lie that the atrocity had been committed by the Germans, so as not to offend the Soviets.!
